Premed Program Recognized for Career Prep Success

The Georgia Statewide Area Health Education Centers Network named Columbus State University’s Competitive Premedical Studies program an example of best practices and resources related to pipeline recruiting at its 2016 Primary Care Summit on May 4. The summit focuses on how to best meet the growing demand for primary care physicians in Georgia.The program was outlined as part of a presentation of the Pipeline Segment in the Educational Life of a Health Professional, a division of the Georgia Statewide AHEC Network.
CSU’s Competitive Premedical Studies program prepares undergraduate students for medical school by connecting students with local physicians, offering free MCAT preparation and providing guidance on medical school applications and interviews.
