Professor Explores the Fate of Forgotten Soldiers in New Book

“Forgotten Under a Tropical Sun: War Stories by American Veterans in the Philippines, 1898-1913,” the fourth book by Columbus State University professor of English Joe McCallus, was recently accepted for publication by Kent State University Press. “Forgotten Under is Tropical Sun” is a study of the memoirs written by the men who served in the Philippines before WWI. The book will be released in 2017.
