RNCareers.org, a leading nursing education resource, has ranked Columbus State University’s RN-to-BSN program fourth among the “best” of its kind in Georgia. This accolade further distinguishes the university as a Nationally Recognized Nursing School of Distinction.

More than 1,700 nursing schools were thoroughly evaluated by RNCareers.org to compile these merit-based rankings. The publication considered critical factors such as NCLEX passing rates, program accreditation, program offerings and school reputation. In its comprehensive evaluation, RNCareers.org emphazied the tangible benefits for students enrolling in Columbus State’s RN-to-BSN program

"There is an abundance of high-quality nursing programs in the United States, but finding clear, merit-based rankings can be challenging," said Jeff Morrow, publisher of RNCareers.org. "RNCareers.org has rigorously evaluated RN-to-BSN programs across the United States, and Columbus State University's program not only excels in Georgia but stands out nationally in the top 10%. This program is a beacon of excellence, combining robust academic rigor with real-world applicability.”

The assessment included evaluating Columbus State’s ability to provide an enriching educational experience that translates into real-world skills. The university distinguished itself with high NCLEX passing rates and a curriculum that's both academically rigorous and practically relevant—preparing students for immediate and impactful nursing careers.

“The comprehensive benefits for students, from the depth of coursework to the practical skills gained, set a benchmark in nursing education,” Morrow added. “Columbus State’s commitment to fostering top-tier nursing talent is evident in its impressive NCLEX passing rates and the holistic development of its students. It's more than a program; it's a launchpad for the next generation of nursing leaders."

ABOUT COLUMBUS STATE’S RN-TO-BSN PROGRAM

Based in the College of Education & Health Profession’s School of Nursing, the RN-to-BSN program is designed for associate degree-level registered nurses who want to complete a bachelor’s degree conveniently and efficiently while continuing their career.

Classes are offered entirely online in partnership with the University System of Georgia’s eCampus. Because they are delivered online asynchronously, students can access lectures and complete assignments on their schedules from any location. As a fully online program, students are not required to travel to campus for classroom or clinical requirements; they can complete required clinicals where they are with coordination by a faculty facilitator.

Most RN-to-BSN students can complete the online program in 12 months, once general core courses are completed. Associate degree RNs who obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing frequently benefit from higher salaries, expanded job and advancement opportunities, and increased access to specialized nursing and leadership roles. Earning a BSN also allows for the opportunity to further your education with graduate-level degrees.
